Energy storage solutions are generally divided into three categories according to application scenarios: generation side, grid side and user side.
Generation side energy storage system refers to the power energy storage facilities deployed at the power production end of the power generation process during or near the power generation facilities (such as wind farms, photovoltaic power stations, hydropower stations) and thermal power plants.
Grid side energy storage refers to a large energy storage system deployed on the key nodes of the power grid, which receives unified dispatching and responds to the flexible needs of the power grid. These energy storage systems serve power generation enterprises, power grid companies, power users participating in market transactions, energy storage enterprises, etc.
User-side energy storage refers to the energy storage power station installed on the user side to reduce user electricity cost and power failure. It mainly includes home energy storage, industrial and commercial energy storage, optical storage and charging integrated power station, etc. User-side energy storage is in huge demand in Europe, the United States, Australia and other places with a small population, large territory and difficult to cover by the national grid.
